Plastic drops players into a full scale war, but not in the way you would expect. Instead of traditional battlefields, you are fighting as a plastic toy soldier inside a massive backyard that feels much larger than it should. The idea sounds simple on paper, but the way it plays out gives the game a strong identity right away.
At its core, Plastic is an online third person shooter built around teamwork and coordinated assaults. The game leans into objective driven gameplay, with players working together to push through different parts of the map rather than just chasing eliminations. It is less about running and gunning, and more about positioning, planning, and playing your role within a squad.

One of the more interesting systems comes from its sandbox approach. The battlefield is made up of destructible toy built environments, meaning cover is not always reliable and fights can change quickly. Supply routes can shift during matches, forcing teams to adapt on the fly instead of sticking to one strategy the entire time.
There is also a focus on customization through the game’s “Toy Chest” system. Players can craft and upgrade their equipment, building out different item sets depending on how they want to approach each match. It adds another layer beyond just shooting, giving players more control over how they play.

Matches are designed to feel large in scale. Players form squads of up to ten and can take part in battles across land, air, and sea. Vehicles like tanks, artillery, and transport helicopters all play a role, making each match feel closer to a full battlefield than a small skirmish.
Plastic is currently in development and is planned to release on PC through Steam. It is still early, but the mix of sandbox systems, large scale combat, and its toy soldier setting already makes it one to keep an eye on.
