Battlefield 6 Season 3 Is Almost Here and It Looks Like the Biggest Update Yet
Battlefield 6 Season 3 drops on May 12th and EA has revealed the full roadmap and patch notes ahead of launch. The update is titled Warlords: Supremacy and it is the most ambitious content drop the game has seen since launch.
The season rolls out across three separate acts between now and the end of June, with each act dropping new maps, modes, and weapons. Here is everything coming.
Act 1: Warlords: Supremacy — May 12
The season kicks off with the game’s largest map ever. Railway to Golmud is a reimagining of Battlefield 4’s beloved Golmud Railway, set in the mountainous landscape of Tajikistan.
It is nearly four times the size of Miramar Valley and features a destroyed village, rolling hills, a major industrial site for close quarters combat, and a moving railway that squads will battle over.
Ranked Battle Royale Quads also launches on day one in REDSEC, giving competitive players a proper ladder to climb with exclusive rank chevrons, cosmetics, and XP boosters.
Three new weapons arrive with the season: the iconic M16A4 assault rifle with fully automatic and burst-fire modes, the L115 bolt-action sniper built for long range precision, and the RPK-74M light machine gun for sustained pressure. A new 100-tier Battle Pass with improved navigation and fixed pricing rounds out the launch.
Act 2: Blastpoint — June 9
The second act brings back Cairo Bazaar, a reimagining of Battlefield 3’s Grand Bazaar. It is designed as a tight close-quarters experience that acts as the direct opposite of Railway to Golmud.
The classic Blastpoint competitive mode returns from Battlefield 3 and 4 alongside it. New weapons joining this act include the PP-19 SMG and the Handheld Jammer gadget for disrupting enemy signals.
Two new attachments also arrive: 00 Buckshot for shotguns and Cryogenic Barrels that improve accuracy during sustained fire without the ADS penalty of a heavy barrel.
Act 3: High-Value Target — June 30
The season closes with Tactical Obliteration, an 8v8 version of the classic mode built around squad coordination and objective play.
A Casual Battle Royale playlist launches in REDSEC, blending players with bots for a lower pressure experience. A bonus event called Wet Work introduces the EOD Bot Arm as a new melee weapon for Engineer players.
Two more attachments round out the season: a Compensator for simplified recoil control and Subsonic Ammo that trades reduced spot visibility and noise for slightly less impact damage.
What Is Coming After Season 3
Season 4 arrives in July and it is where things get truly ambitious. Naval warfare is coming to Battlefield 6 for the first time, with fully operational aircraft carriers and a Dynamic Wave System that lets ocean conditions affect aiming stability and player movement.
Two massive maps are confirmed for Season 4. Tsuru Reef is a brand new location set in southern Japan that will surpass Railway to Golmud as the largest map in the game. Wake Island, one of the most iconic maps in franchise history, also returns fully modernized for the new naval systems.
Server browsers, leaderboards, and platoons are all confirmed for the 2026 roadmap as well. A fifth season is planned for autumn with at least three new maps confirmed.
Battlefield 6 had a rough stretch after launch but this roadmap reads like a studio that has listened to its community and is swinging hard to win them back.
